Volunteers at LLAMA

Volunteers are at the heart of LLAMA. Their time, knowledge, and commitment make it possible for us to support Latin American and Spanish‑speaking communities across Australia.

The Heart of Volunteering

Volunteering has deep roots in every society and can take many forms. People volunteer by supporting others directly, participating in networks of mutual aid, and contributing to causes that strengthen communities and promote social change.

At the heart of all volunteer work are a few shared values: it is done freely, it is motivated by a desire to contribute rather than financial gain, and it creates benefits for individuals, communities, and society as a whole.

As a volunteer‑run organisation, LLAMA is deeply grateful to every person who gives their time, energy, and cultural knowledge to support our mission. Their contribution helps us deliver programs and services that respond to the needs of Latin American and Spanish‑speaking communities in Australia.
